No one wants a fine, or being told to leave their car where it is due to an expired inspection. Want to know what is involved in getting an MVI? From The Government of New Brunswick Motor Vehicle Inspections are required to ensure that all motor vehicles meet required safety standards. All passenger cars and trucks require an annual inspection. Taxis and buses are inspected twice a year. Regular inspections encourage vehicle safety by checking key equipment such as brakes and steering, so that critical maintenance issues may be addressed. This weekend coming up, Atlantic Euro Cars has a couple of boats entered into the RKYC Charity Regatta and Poker Run. This is the 3rd year of the event, and both Hup and Peter have been actively involved in helping to organize the event. This year the chosen charity is the Empty Stocking Fund – a local charity that makes the holiday season a happy time by assisting families and building a stronger community. While typically thought of as a “Christmas Time” charity – they do many things throughout the year to raise funds – ending with their annual telethon towards the end of the year. Atlantic Euro Cars is proud to be a part of this Charity Event – and we are looking forward to seeing many of our clients out on the water this weekend – in support of a good cause. Test driving a BMW 3 Series Touring Wagon

This week we bought a 2011 BMW 328i X-Drive touring wagon. I have to say it is once of the nicest wagon packages on the market today. BMW is renown for its great cars and this vehicle is no exception. My driving impressions are that it is a sweet car that handles very similarly to the infamous BMW sedan with a firm ride, great steering and more than acceptable performance. This 3 Series has BMW’s mid range engine a very smooth and yet powerful 3.0 litre inline 6 cylinder. BMW has done a fabulous job refining this engine series and with 230 HP it is not a slouch when it comes to daily driving. Couple this with BMW’s XDrive all wheel drive the car has all weather capability providing traction and control in all the adverse weather conditions we encounter here in New Brunswick. My driving impressions were delightful and I thoroughly enjoyed the way the car was equipped. Outlook for 2015 in the New Brunswick Car Business

Another year has just started and I wanted to update my clients on the outlook for 2015. I am personally looking forward to a good year coming up. The economic prospects for 2015 are somewhat daunting here in New Brunswick. As everyone knows the economic situation here in our province is not a shining star but that said we all need to simply go to work with the view that there is no place better to live, work and play. We must all support our local businesses so that we have a sustainable future and have the services we all want available locally. For most local businesses 2014 was a good year. Talking to my friends and contacts in the New Brunswick car industry it seems that most dealerships saw some small increases in sales last year. Everyone is excited about the new vehicle products that are being introduced some of which are truly amazing. Looking ahead to 2015 I believe the automotive market place will see some significant shifts. The ever dropping price of oil, falling currency rates vs the US dollar will mean that all the European marketers (Benz, BMW, Audi Porsche and so forth) will have to […]
